One of my students used to panic every time her client opened their eyes.

Now? She finishes every set with ✨️confidence✨️.

The shift?

👉 She stopped chasing 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 and started chasing 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Burnout doesn’t always look like crying in your car.
Sometimes it looks like:

😩 Feeling “meh” about every set
🌀 Defaulting to your “go-to” maps because your brain’s fried
💤 Digging deep to find the energy to get through your appointments for the day
📷 No longer photographing your work because you feel uninspired

Here’s what helps me combat creative burnout:

✨ Going for a decent walk outside. There’s something special about being out in nature. The clear air clears the mind.
✨ Setting aside a full admin day every week as opposed to lashing back to back day after day. Because let’s be honest, it’s hard to be your business’s bookkeeper, receptionist, strategist, content creator, stock controller, and all the other things on top of being a lash artist. When you give yourself breathing room to focus on your various tasks, it reduces overwhelm.
✨ Planning something for me at least once a week that does NOT involve lash work; whether that’s a massage, a bubble bath, a yoga class, or a couple of hours on the couch with something good to watch and a bowl of popcorn.
✨ Photographing a set I was proud of, even if it wasn’t perfect. Getting back to the art is getting back to the heart.

Creativity comes back when you slow down. Resting is not lazy; it’s necessary 🙏

Brown lashes aren’t a “softer black”. They’re a whole luxury vibe! ✨

Here’s what you should know:

1️⃣ Not all browns are equal. Quality and tones vary wildly! Test before you invest.
2️⃣ They don’t look lighter, they look richer. Think softness, not paleness.
3️⃣ Blending with brown is 🤤 Blend different shades of brown together or blend black with brown to create dimension like no other.

1️⃣ Start with your 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗸𝗲 first — that sets the tone.
2️⃣ Adapt for eye shape — not just inspo pics.
3️⃣ Soften your inner corner transition — no sharp drop-offs.

Mapping isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s an art 𝗮𝗻𝗱 a science.

If your lash sets feel flat or overly dense, try this:

✨ Map in 𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴, not lines
✨ Keep your spikes 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 (no spaghetti lashes!)
✨ Use 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 lashes to soften and elevate the final look

Starting with these three tweaks can take you from “meh” to “magazine cover”, even as a beginner.
