About two years ago, I came up with the concept of using a density rating system for my lash sets to help one of my clients decide what set she wanted based on a scale of density. Many new clients have since commented on how helpful they found it, especially those who had never been exposed to so many lash options before 🤭

I find it helps letting the client pick their set based on density (as what is considered "full" or "natural" to some may be different to others), and you can then go over mapping and styling options during consultation ✨️

I've come across other lash studios using my density rating system, so I figured I'd give you a bit of a history on how it came about and share in case anyone else finds it helpful 😉

Sending off another lash order today ✨️ 🙌

You all know how much I LOVE creating brown sets, and I see them picking up through the lash industry and my Chocolate Brown Volume Lashes flying off the shelves 🪽

This makes me so happy for a few reasons:

🤎 I didn't just create my lash line as another revenue stream; I created it because I struggled to find lashes that I really loved and wanted to use, and 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭, I will only ever stock products that I personally love and use, and therefore want to share with you, my fellow artist 🫶

🤎 I don't want to sell average, run-of-the-mill lashes to your everyday lash tech; I want to sell lashes to the 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 - to those who are just as passionate about lashing as I am, and want to create beautiful works of art 🖼 (this is why you'll see I stock speciality lashes and curls like shades of brown, LU/M curls, shorter lashes that are hard to find elsewhere for inner corners and bottom extensions, etc.)

🤎 Creating a lash line is expensive! 🙈 To start, I've got mixed length trays, and as these sell, it enables me to put back into the line so that next up ☝️ we have single length trays in more diameters (I can't freaking wait 🙌)

So thank you to those of you who have purchased Nikki Rae lashes, who have shared your content, who share the love, and continue to support the goal 💫

We all use flat lashes for Classics, right? Well,

We all use flat lashes for Classics, right? Well, actually, I don't know 😅 Do we? I was trained in conical Classics in 2019, but once I discovered flats/ellipse lashes shortly after, I could never go back 🙅‍♀️

All it takes is one run of your finger through a tray of round-based vs flat-based Classics to see why it's a no-brainer 🤷‍♀️ The crunchiness of round-based is a big no-no for me. The feathery tips and extra retention of flat-based is an added bonus 🦋 And of course, we all know I sometimes like to use 2D 0.07 volume lashes for my Classic sets 🤫😄

I'm so glad I finally bought myself a moonlight 🙌

I had a couple of reservations about the base not being sturdy enough and the light not being bright enough, but I am SO HAPPY with my purchase 🫶

I did love my ringlight, and I know there are a few dud moonlights out there, so if you're a ringlight girlie and on the fence; just do your research and take the plunge on a good one - it's worth the upgrade ✨️

Here's why I love it so much:

🌙 The light disperses more evenly on both sides of the face
🌙 There are no awkward legs at the bottom
🌙 I don't have to swing the light head out every time my client lies down or gets up
🌙 The aesthetic is just 🤌
