Ombré Brows

Pre and Post Requisites

Ahead of Your Appointment

  • Wash your hair the night before or morning of your treatment, as you won’t be able to get your brows wet for 7 days after your appointment.
  • If you wish to attend your appointment wearing makeup, that is fine, however the area will be cleaned before we begin.
  • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Do not drink caffeine the day of your appointment (no coffee or energy drinks).
  • Do not exercise for 7 days after your treatment.
  • No acne medication 12 months prior to your appointment.
  • No botox 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • No active skin treatments (microdermabrasion, chemical peels, microneedling, etc.) 4 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • No vaccinations 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your appointment.

After Your Appointment

  • Using the saline and gauze provided, gently pat over your brows 3 times a day to ensure your brows are clean.
  • After cleaning, apply a small amount of the balm provided and reapply throughout the day as needed. You should have a slight shine to your brows from the balm which will help you know whether or not you need to reapply.
  • No water or sweat on your brows for 7-10 days. This means NO exercise! It is important to keep your brows dry for optimal healed results and to ensure there is no risk of infection.
  • Please do not use any cream other than the one provided to you.
  • Do not touch the area except when cleaning, and ensure your hands are clean when doing so.
  • Avoid saunas, exercising, sun bathing, sun beds, spas or beauty treatments within the first 2 weeks.

Healing Process — What to Expect

  • During this time, your brows may feel sensitive and appear red or swollen. You will also have some light pink or clear fluid come to the surface of your brows. You can gently pat this with tissue or clean them following the aftercare instructions above.
  • A few days after your treatment, your brows will begin to form a crust and may become itchy. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH YOUR BROWS as this could lead to pigment loss.
  • Your brows may appear darker within your first week of healing. Your brows are expected to fade 20-40% over the 6-week post-treatment.
